Original pH Color Cards
WARNING!
THE pH CARDS BELOW ARE SET UP IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:
Remember, and whoever is teaching you should have taught you this from the start, when using the pH Reagents to test with, you will start with the Bromthymol Blue Reagent and you will use the Bromthymol Blue Color Card to verify the pH reading. There is absolutely no reason to use another reagent to double check the reading of the Bromthymol Blue Reagent as long as the test result falls within the Bromthymol Blue Color Card's color range. The only time you should use any of the other reagents with their corresponding color cards is when the reading of the Bromthymol Blue test is either above or below the ranges that card provides. The Bromthymol Blue will always be the most accurate of all the cards and should be relied on whenever possible. Please do not forget that! Furthermore, your light source should either be natural light from the sun OR a full spectrum light bulb should be used. The difference in results when incorrect lighting is used can be dramatic.
